Terms of use
Last updated October 26, 2026
These terms cover your use of floridawells.com (the “site”). By using the site you agree to them. They’re written to be read. If anything is unclear, ask us.
1. What the site is
The site summarizes public well-construction records published by Florida government agencies. It’s an informational tool. It isn’t an official record, a survey, a property inspection, or engineering, geological or legal advice.
2. No guarantee about your well
Records describe wells as they were reported when permitted or built. They may be incomplete, out of date, wrongly located, or wrong. A depth near your property does not tell you how deep a new well must be, how much water it will produce, or its water quality. Before drilling, buying, selling or making any decision that depends on a well, consult a Florida-licensed water well contractor and the relevant water management district, and check the original records.
3. Accuracy and availability
We work to present the source data faithfully and document how in our methodology. The site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We may change, pause or remove any part of the site at any time.
4. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site’s operator isn’t liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the site or its data, including drilling costs, property decisions, or lost profits. Where liability can’t be excluded, it’s limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
5. Acceptable use
- Don’t overload the site or its address lookup with automated requests, or try to get around any limits.
- Don’t use the site to break the law or harass anyone.
- You may quote figures from the site with a link back to the page you used. The underlying public records belong to the agencies that publish them.
6. Paid features
- A Neighborhood report ($29, one-time) unlocks the list of nearby wells and their map for the point you searched, at the radius you chose or smaller. It doesn’t change the records or their limits described above.
- Pro ($49 a month) unlocks that for any address, plus address suggestions. It renews monthly until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account pagein the browser you subscribed in, or by emailing us; the billing portal shows when access ends. Pro is for looking up places, not downloading the dataset: full well lists are limited to 300 lookups a day.
- Access is kept in your browser, not in an account. It’s for you. To open it on another device, make a one-time link from your account page; each works once, within 24 hours.
- If a purchase didn’t work or you were charged by mistake, email us and we’ll put it right. A refunded or disputed payment ends the access it paid for.
- Payments are processed by Stripe under its own terms. We never see your full card number.
7. Third-party links and services
The site links to agency records and other websites we don’t control, uses the U.S. Census Bureau Geocoder to match addresses, and uses Stripe for payments. Their own terms and policies apply.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the current terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
